Electro Plasma System Power for all of the vessels systems is provided by a network of microwave power transmission waveguides known as the electro plasma system (EPS). The majority of this power is supplied from the warp propulsion power conduits, additional power comes from the impulse engines and also a number of auxiliary fusion generators. A secondary power distribution system provides electrical power for specialised requirements.
EPS conduits are formed from multilayer torian-durmanite, EPS and ODN fiber bundles are reinforced within a jacket of multilayer woven ployduranium. The standard flow rating of the EPS is 215,000 Kelvin. Computer simulations estimate that the EPS conduits maximum flow rating is 813.000 Kelvin. Under these conditions, the woven pluyduranium jacket around the conduit will super heat, causing a ship wide systems failure.
