Eight Forward Recreation facility positioned on deck eight and part of deck seven, at the front rim of the saucer section aboard the USS Sirius. Eight forward acts as the ship’s main social centre. Providing the crew with a place to meet and relax on their off–duty hours. Eight forward features a galley and bar, hosted by Drake Gahlord Van Hickley VII. Though the USS Sirius is fitted with an FRS (food replication system), the galley provides crewman the choice of foods which may normally not be listed in the FRS databank. In addition the pleasure of eating hand prepared food is one of the key reasons that makes the galley an important part of the ship.
The galley also serves a wide verity of non-intoxicating beverages, also known as synthehol. Providing the taste and colour of the real thing without the intoxicating effects.
Situated on
deck 7 and deck 6, offer off-duty personnel the ideal way to unwind. It has
been proven,
that
periods of extended space flight can have physical if not psychological effects
on personnel. Making the need for recreation facilities ever more important.
The holodeck is capable of recreating almost any environment, utilising holograpgic projections and precise force fields. That give object colour and texture almost the same as the real thing.
